ResellPilot ("we," "us," or "our") is an AI-powered platform that helps resellers create marketplace listings, clean up product images, research pricing, and sell across platforms like eBay, Etsy, Facebook Marketplace, Mercari, and more.

We take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy describes the information we collect when you use ResellPilot, how we use it, and the steps we take to keep it secure.

We collect only what we need to provide you with a great experience:

Account information

• Your name and email address when you sign up
• Your password (stored as a secure hash — we never see the plaintext)
• Billing information processed through our payment provider (we do not store card numbers)

Usage data

• Listings you create, edit, or publish
• Features you use (AI listing generation, price research, image cleanup, etc.)
• Usage counters for plan limit enforcement (e.g., number of listings generated this month)
• Connection settings for marketplace accounts you link (eBay, Etsy, etc.)

Uploaded content

• Product photos you upload for listing generation or image cleanup
• These images are processed by our AI systems to provide the requested feature

Technical data

• Browser type and device type (for compatibility and debugging)
• IP address (used for security and fraud prevention)
• Error logs and performance data to help us fix issues

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide the service — create your account, process listings, and keep everything working smoothly
• Power AI features — generate listing titles and descriptions, suggest pricing using real sold comps, and remove image backgrounds
• Enforce plan limits — track usage so we can apply the correct quotas for your subscription tier
• Improve the product — analyze aggregate usage patterns to understand which features are most valuable (no individual profiling)
• Send important updates — notify you about billing, security alerts, and significant changes to the service
• Provide support — respond to your questions and help resolve issues

Several features in ResellPilot involve processing your uploaded images with AI:

How image processing works

• AI listing generation — your product photos are sent to OpenAI's API, which identifies the item and generates a title, description, and pricing suggestions
• Background removal — images are processed by our background removal service (powered by open-source AI models hosted on Hugging Face Spaces or similar infrastructure) to produce clean, white-background product photos
• Image enhancements — smart crop and auto-enhance adjustments are applied to improve listing photo quality

What we do NOT do with your images

• We do not sell your images to third parties
• We do not use your images to train our own AI models
• We do not share your images with other users
• Processed images are used solely to deliver the result back to you

Your data is stored in secure cloud infrastructure. We use Supabase (backed by AWS) for database storage and authentication. Uploaded images and files are stored in secure cloud object storage.

The security measures we have in place include:

• All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS)
• Passwords are hashed and never stored in plaintext
• Database access is restricted to authorized services only
• Regular security reviews and dependency updates
• Row-level security (RLS) so users can only access their own data

No system is 100% secure. While we work hard to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe your account has been compromised, please contact us immediately at support@resellpilot.com.

ResellPilot integrates with trusted third-party services to deliver its features. Each service only receives the data necessary for its specific function:

We do not sell your personal data. Ever.

We may share information only in the following limited circumstances:

• To provide the service — sharing data with the third-party services listed above, strictly to operate ResellPilot features on your behalf
• Legal requirements — if we are required to disclose information by law, court order, or governmental authority
• Business transfers — if ResellPilot is acquired or merges with another company, your data may transfer as part of that transaction. We will notify you before this happens.
• With your consent — in any other case, only if you explicitly agree

You are in control of your data. You have the right to:

• Access your data — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• Correct your data — update your name, email, or account details at any time from your settings page
• Delete your account — you can request full account and data deletion by contacting us. We will process deletion within 30 days.
• Export your data — request an export of your listings and account data in a portable format
• Opt out of communications — unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email. Transactional emails (billing, security) cannot be opted out of.

ResellPilot uses cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in and improve your experience. We use:

• Authentication cookies — to keep you logged into your account securely (these are required for the app to function)
• Preference cookies — to remember your settings and preferences
• Analytics cookies — to understand how the product is being used in aggregate, helping us improve it

You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling authentication cookies will prevent you from staying signed in.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as the product evolves or legal requirements change. When we do:

• For significant changes, we will notify you by email or via an in-app notice
• Your continued use of ResellPilot after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy
